Students will learn to write standards-compliant HTML and XHTML code, and will format multiple web pages with CSS. Topics to be addressed in this course include how to incorporate text, graphics, colour, audio and video into a web page; work with HTML tags; structure a web site; create and use roll-over links, forms, tables, custom backgrounds; and how to position elements of a web page without using tables. It is recommended that students be familiar with the Windows environment, be able to use the keyboard efficiently, and be comfortable using a desktop application, such as MS Word,prior to taking this course.
